SMS WordPress Plugin eCommerce Subscription Project
eZ SMS Blaster is a project developed and owned by Webpuzzlemaster Digital Marketing Agency as a low cost and robust solution for sending targeted bulk email to one or more lists with an option to send HTML coupons. The software idea originated from custom development that was done for our City Deals project. The plugin can be installed on any WordPress website and includes functionality for creating multiple lists, importing contacts, opt-in forms to acquire subscribers, scheduling SMS for strategic delivery, and deliverability reports.
A deluxe Package with coupon generator allows plugin customers to send unlimited HTML coupons with a powerful call to action such as click to call, click to buy, register for event, download report, and more.
Affordable SMS credits can be purchased through the software which when used strategically, can produce the greatest ROI with high profitability. It is also one of the best customer retention methods as well as a solution to acquire new customers. Low-cost subscriptions in three package levels include starting SMS credits and can be purchased with a monthly or discounted annual subscription.
SMS Project Plan
eZ SMS Blaster, a WordPress SMS plugin with advanced functionality, represented a long term project launched after extensive research, strategic planning, development, security, and testing. Detailed documents defined the plugins functionality, design, performance, and hosting requirements. Storage of encrypted data in a centralized data base was implemented to enhance security and reduce hacking incentives. Deliverability and accuracy of the system of credits where one credit was required for sending one message to a single subscriber, was confirmed through extensive testing. The project’s software, database, marketing eCommerce website, and SMS affiliate program were hosted on a high capacity, fully managed dedicated server.
Responsive eCommerce Website
We designed and developed a responsive eCommerce WordPress website to promote and sell eZ SMS Blaster. All of the following was included in this development:
- Artwork for the header and footer that was used for a template design and applied for consistency in pages and posts.
- A sales landing page with three purchase options in a responsive pricing table made features and benefits for each level clear and easy to select. We custom coded payment options to include monthly or discounted annual subscriptions via the Braintree payment gateway.
- An engaging responsive animated slider for the home page was designed to provide an optimum viewing experience on desktops, tablets, and phones.
- An informative free report on SMS marketing was available via download as an incentive for subscribing to our text marketing email list.
- Our informative blog with unique post content, was created to educate visitors about SMS marketing and the advantages of the eZ SMS Blaster plugin over other WordPress SMS plugins.
- Detailed terms and conditions and a privacy policy were legal documents created for the project.
- An affiliate landing page targeted to those selling and/or developing WordPress websites, defined the benefits of the affiliate program including revenue projections reflecting residual income payouts over a period of years.
Affiliate Software and Program
An affiliate program targeted to WordPress developers and advertising agencies was created using iDevAffiliate software. This allowed us to leverage the sale of the plugin by other companies who were empowered with sales and promotional tools and vetted as affiliates. Our affiliate software included a secure user account for each affiliate. Upon login, affiliates could access promotional strategies, banners, social media artwork, and other ads designed to track their unique ID and credit them with traffic and sales conversions via their efforts.

- Post card designs for direct mail campaigns to businesses and potential affiliates
- Video production for promotional purposes
- Social media artwork for Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook marketing

- IFTTT set up for content syndication and link building
- Affiliate program set up
Marketing & Advertising
Project marketing and advertising included:
- Onsite and offsite SEO
- Blogging
- Video marketing
- IFTTT for syndication of blog, video, and social media content to numerous websites connected via IFTTT applets
- Facebook advertising
- Direct mail campaigns where postcards were designed and mailed to two separate groups: a targeted list of businesses in one campaign and potential affiliates in a separate campaign
Website Hosting & Maintenance
- Hosting on fully managed dedicated Linux server with firewall protection and ongoing virus scanning via Sucuri monitoring and malware removal services.
- All updates for WordPress, theme and plugins performed.
